My car has frameless doors. Can you replace the side glass?
Yes. Coupes and some saloons, like the BMW 4 Series in our photos, have door glass with no frame round it. The new glass has to be set so it seals against the roof rubber when the door shuts, and we check it opens and closes cleanly before we hand the car back.
Is there a charge for coming out to Crews Hill or Enfield Lock?
No. There is no callout fee anywhere in the borough, including the edges of it such as Crews Hill, Botany Bay and Enfield Lock.
A stone hit my windscreen on the A10. Is it safe to keep driving?
It depends where the damage is. Damage in the driver's line of sight can make the car unsafe and illegal to drive, so if it is in your view, park up somewhere safe and call us. A small chip away from your view is less urgent, but cover it with clear tape and get it looked at within a few days.
I picked up a chip on a country lane. Is it worth repairing?
Usually, yes, as long as it is small and not close to the edge of the screen. The sooner it is filled the better, because dirt and water work their way into a chip over time and the repair does not come out as clear. Send us a photo and we will tell you whether a repair will do.
