Superb response time and amazing service from this windscreen company. After looking for days to replace my windscreen on my Kia Niro i finally managed to find Prime Windscreens who responded promptly to my request. They’ve booked me in for the next day and the guy that came to do the job was professional and very good at what he does. Due to the fact that the car was vandalised I had splinters of glass everywhere in the car but Stefan not only replaced the windscreen in less than 45 minutes but he also cleaned all the broken glass off my dash and seats. Questions We Get Asked in Finchley
Do you cover East Finchley and Finchley Central as well as North Finchley?
Yes. We cover all of N2, N3 and N12, including Woodside Park, Church End and West Finchley, plus Friern Barnet, Colney Hatch and New Southgate in N11.
My road has permit parking. Where will your van go?
Tell us when you book and we will plan it together. A drive, a visitor permit or a legal space close by is all we need. The van does not have to be right next to your car, as long as we can carry the glass to it safely.
My flat has a shared parking court in Woodside Park. Can you work there?
Usually, yes. A corner bay or the space at the end of a row suits us best, as there is room either side of the car for the doors and for carrying the glass round. If the court has a gate or a barrier, tell us how we get in when you book.
What happens if it rains on the day?
We need the frame to stay dry while the new screen goes in, so the job can go ahead in the rain if the car is in a garage or under a car port. If heavy rain is forecast and the car has to stay outside, we will call you and move you to the next dry slot.
I have a crack running in from the edge. Can that be repaired?
Usually not. Once a crack reaches the edge of the glass it weakens the whole screen, so the safe fix is a new windscreen. Chips caught early, before a crack starts, are the ones we can normally repair.
